After screenshots, more screenshots, videos and yes, even more, Diablo III beta might be just around the corner. A recent Activision-Blizzard investor call hinted that Diablo III might be ready for 2011.
Blizzard’s Mike Morhaime said that “the game does not have a launch date. We’re working very hard to try and release it this year, but we will not compromise on quality.” Mike also said that Diablo III beta will hit the third quarter of 2011.
Back in February, Vice President of Blizzard, Rob Pardo, also said the company’s goal is to get Diablo III out by the end of 2011, but that Blizzard will delay the game if needed in order to “get it right”.
As a response to Kotaku about whether Diablo 3 could come out this year, Rob Pardo said that “we really, really hope so. That’s our goal. Our goal is to get there. But you know, at the end of the day, we are going to get it right. That’s more important.”
“We’re going to promise, we’re going to get it out there when it’s awesome. And, we’re crossing our fingers, maybe it will be this year.”
Well, let’s hope so!
