22. Choose the type of account you wish to add. I’m going to add a Google Account. Tap the Google logo to continue.
23. Enter in your personal information, including your name, Gmail email address, and your Google Account Password. iPhone will automatically generate a “Gmail” description name for the account.
24. After your credentials are verified, choose the services you wish to sync to your iPhone. Green means they are turned on. Tap the switch on each option to turn off the ones you don’t want to sync. Tap the Save button in the upper left corner of the device screen when you are done.
25. The account is added to your device. It will take time for all of your information to download to your phone.
At this point, all of your information is synching with your phone, whether its an iPhone, Android or Windows Phone. Give it a bit of time (say an hour or so…depending on how many contacts, calendar events, emails and tasks you have) so that all of the information can transfer from “the cloud” to your phone before you really start using it. However, you’re cookin’ with gas now… You’ve satisfied all of the prerequisites and are ready to start making the most of your smartphone.
Come back next time, and I’ll get you started with making and receiving phone calls. Its what most people buy a cell phone – or in this case, a smartphone – for. All the other stuff is gravy, but its important gravy.
