MultiTranse 4.8.1

MultiTranse is a translation software that uses online resources to translate to and from English, Portuguese, Dutch, French, Chinese, Spanish, German, Italian, Greek, Russian, Korean and Japanese.
The program can translate specific words, phrases, sentences or even small texts, up to 6000 symbols at a time.

The program calculates the number of symbols (spaces are considered symbols) in the inserted text, and it warns you if it exceeds the maximum text size, and because of that, the translation cannot begin.
If you want to translate something from English to Japanese for instance, and the appropriate font is not installed on your computer, a warning message will appear in your default Internet browser window, a FTP link from where to download the font and installation instructions. Great!

The program is 100% Unicode compatible, it automatically determines font andencodes Unicode text into any ANSI format and the other way around. MultiTranse has a multilingual user interface, very easy to use. There are two text areas on top of each other; in one you insert text, either by typing it or copying it from clipboard or a file, and in the other one you will see the translation. You only have to choose the language that identifies with inserted text, and the language you want it translated into and click on 'Start Translation' button. Pretty fast!

There are other options available: you can choose the fonts, styles and sizes for both the inserted text and the translated one, you can print or send by e-mail the translated text and you can save it a TXT file.

Pluses: It can translate words, long sentences and phrases from many languages.

Drawbacks / flaws: You can't add words to the thesaurus.

In conclusion: Very easy to use, pretty reliable translator.
