'PhotoSort' is not another duplicate photo finder. It has the capabilities to find even the near duplicate files. For example if you have several pictures which look alike the program will identify them as duplicates.
The producer claims that the program compares pictures by the way they look. I tend to believe it. This means that it will detect duplicates and similar pictures even when they are saved in different file format, have different size or scale, or when their color, contrast and brightness was slightly changed, or even when the picture was watermarked. The program has a wizard structure which makes it very easy to use. After you select the folder to scan for duplicate files you have to wait until the search is finished and then you can modify the tolerance level. Beware though because the higher the level, the fewer are the duplicate files because the percentage of the similarity should be higher in order to consider a picture as a duplicate.
While testing the program I was surprised by the results of this program. The program works quickly, but the time-span depends on the number of the image files in your folder. You have three choices for the selected duplicate files. You can send them to the Recycle Bin, delete them permanently, or move them to a specific folder. In the trial version, there are many limitations but you are able to see what it can do.
The user interface is very intuitive mostly due to the wizard structure. I don't think that you'll have any problems using it.
Pluses: This is one of the best duplicate file finders I've seen so far and it has a fair price too.
