 | | Do you need a small application to convert Microsoft PowerPoint presentations into executable files or screensavers? Well, I needed one, so I started searching. I found PowerPoint Slide Show Converter. This program proved to be a big disappointment. I couldn't get it to work, no matter what I tried.
The publisher states that the program is supposed to work, even if you don't have Microsoft PowerPoint installed on your computer. There are two ways of converting a slideshow. First, there is a "simple mode", which you should use if you don't have PowerPoint installed on your computer. This conversion mode didn't work for me. The second mode is the "enhanced mode", which allows you to add a soundtrack or to specify advanced options (ex: delay between slides, transition effect, etc.).
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: Only a few options are available when converting slideshows.
In conclusion: A single purpose tool, which probably didn't work because I don't have Microsoft PowerPoint installed.
