| | I installed Windows on a computer, which we use as a router a couple of days ago. After the installation finished, I had to disconnect the keyboard because one of my friends needed it elsewhere. The only solution to keep working on that computer was to install virtual keyboard software, to help me type text using the mouse. Mouse Keyboard Wizard does this thing, so I decided to give it a try.
I knew that by pressing the “Windows Key + U” I could start the On Screen Keyboard that comes with Windows XP. But I didn't because I really wanted to see what Mouse Keyboard Wizard can add to the default Windows XP functionality. Truth being told I wasn't impressed at all. Anytime you click a button on the virtual keyboard, the key represented by that button will be sent to the last application that had focus.
If you have Windows XP, it's not worth getting this program. However, if you run an older operating system, this program comes in handy.
Pluses: You can set your virtual keyboard to only display the keys you use. Also, you can set it to always stay on top of other windows, you can move or resize your keys and you can lock all the keys' positions.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: If you don't have room for a keyboard, but a mouse would fit just fine, you can use this program to emulate a keyboard.
