InsideCAT allows you to track all your data stored on hard drives, CDs, DVDs, Floppy disks, Netdrives, Zip, Jazz and M.O. drives. Every disk or partition you index with InsideCAT will be visible in a separate catalogue.
InsideCAT can read files in archives and can even extract files from most common archives. The program includes a search option which is very useful whenever you need to find something in your previously indexed collection.
You can organize catalogues into groups, and different categories of data. It's also possible to create thumbnails of each image file that you add to the collection. Another nice feature allows you to create special prints directly on a CD's top side.
Pluses: A very nice feature is the possibility to export catalogues into text files, which are easy to carry or print. In case you want to lend CDs or DVDs, your counterpart doesn't need to install the software in order to visualize the catalogue. A complex search engine will help you find any file in your collections while the label designer will allow you to create labels for your disks.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: InsideCAT is a easy to use application, even though it has lots of options which can be configured. Just go for it!
