'PC Acme' is a great tool for spying on someone or just logging one's activity on a computer. It's invisible to a normal user because it doesn't appear in the taskbar or in the system tray. However, the process is displayed in Windows Task Manager as "control.exe". I'm sure that even an advanced user can have trouble finding PC Acme, unless he or she knows exactly what to look for.
The program is detected by Windows Defender as a "potentially harmful application". However, you can choose to ignore that message when installing this software. During installation, you are asked for a password. Make sure you remember the password, because it's used to access all the program's features.
A special log is created when you start the actual monitoring process, called "Spy Agent". The log can be automatically deleted whenever it exceeds a certain limit. This log can also be saved on your hard disk. However, you need to run another application, distributed with this software package, to generate an understandable log. This application is called "View Log" and it generates HTML reports containing your logs.
Pluses: The program's user interface supports multiple languages. The HTML reports can also be generated using several languages. Another feature that's worth mentioning is the program's ability to filter the events it logs. For example, you could log events from a specific application or you could view all the passwords that were entered since logging started.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: I'm not sure whether it's legal to use logging software to spy on someone, so beware of the legal implications. Anyway, PC Acme has all the features needed for a good monitoring and surveillance tool.
