I found this software while searching for a fast way of adding subtitles to a movie, and I have to say I am impressed with the application's features and speed.
There are lots of options available if you want to convert movies, but most of them are slow and hard to configure. Allok AVI to DVD SVCD VCD Converter, on the other hand, is very easy to use and has a simple user interface that gets the work done. During my testing this software, it never failed. I used it to re-encode both XviD and DivX AVI files and it worked great.
The application supports batch encoding. You can add more than one video to a list displayed on the program's main window. The files are processed one at a time, until they are all converted. It's also possible to split an video file into separate parts.
Pluses: It's possible to set up how much of your system resources the program should use during the encoding process. This enables you to keep working on your computer while the program does the encoding.
