| | Free Quiz-Buddy is a free educational software designed for anyone who would like to test and improve their knowledge level. This is the lite version of the product with the same name, which is isn't freeware.
It consists of eight topics related to Chinese, French, Spanish, Spanish Vocabulary with Audio, SAT (Scholastic Aptitude Test), Math, Geography. Each section is divided into subsections of questions and answers. You can find up to 24 quizzes each related to a topic from the eight main categories. Tests can be set to contain four types of answers: multiple choice, matching, true/false and type-in.
The quizzes can also be played as slideshows in order to help you enrich your knowledge base. Thus, you get the chance to improve your foreign languages, math and geography skills, prepare for tests and assess your knowledge. After taking a test, you can view your results in terms of right/wrong, rating and total.
In case you have a PDA and you have installed the PDA version of the program, you can export the tests to your portable in Palm format. The lists of questions and answers can also be exported to HTML , text or QB text files. Moreover, you can create printable tests, in case you are a teacher.
The interface makes it extremely is to work with this program and the 'Help' section is highly comprehensible. The program provides links to free online tutorials which can also be downloaded from the producer's page.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: There's only an online 'Help' section available which requires an Internet connection. No connection - no help.
In conclusion: A very useful training and evaluation tool.
