 | | This was supposed to be a parental filter. When I first laid eyes on this program, I thought that this would help me protect kids using my computer, from seeing unwanted porno popup windows.
When I started it, its interface showed me the lack of interest from the producer for this program. Then, I tried to configure the program, but this proved to be a challenge. I couldn't find the banned or the allowed website lists. I did find two lists that seamed to be what I was looking for, but there was no change no mater what websites were mentioned in them. Even when I inserted two websites in the banned list and I set the list to 'ON', I was still able to access those websites without any problems.
It offers no protection for the main password. Anyone can clear it, without being prompted about the existing password. Although, it offers support for a wide range of languages, some are not translated well. The result is an interface with English words mixed in with words from the languages they were supposed to be translated into, leaving the sentence meaningless.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: There are too many problems to mention them here. Some of them are mentioned above.
In conclusion: If you need a parental filter do not download this program. I'm sure there are other programs that actually work.
