 | | 'Open Video Converter' is yet another video converter. It should be easy to use because you only have a few options to set and the output file can only be an AVI file. The input files could be MPG, VCD, MPEG, SVCD, AVI, ASF, or WMV. Among the options, you will find features like resolution, frame rate, resize mode, video compressor or audio compressor.
While testing the program I've tried to set the start time and the end time of the video file but I wasn't able to do that because when I pressed those buttons the time was set to 00:00:00 so the end was the same with the beginning. Pretty odd, I would say. Maybe this is a restriction for the trial version where you can convert only a minute of your video file.
The user interface is simple and intuitive and it should be very easy to work with this program.
Pluses: Easy to use.
Drawbacks / flaws: I think that quality of the video file suffers during the converting process.
In conclusion: Despite that problem with the start and end time selection, this is a good program. I look forward for the next version hopping that they will fix this problem.
