 | | iNet Protector can restrict Internet access on demand or based on a predefined schedule. The program can be configured to allow specific programs or services to access the Web, while, at the same time, restricting others. It has a useful feature, which allows you to set daily quote for accessing the Internet. iNet Protector can configure these quote for each user individually. Once your daily quota is reached, you won't be able to access the Internet.
The program is protected using a password. Unless you know this password, you won't be able to enable or disable the Internet access. However, the evaluation version of this software displays a button which allows you to re-enable the connection. So be sure you register the program, if you want to really block other users from accessing the Internet.
When starting the program, its main window appears. An icon displayed in the system tray allows you to verify if the program is started. This icon is changed whenever the status of the Internet connection changes. This application has three main features. It's able to block the connection based on a schedule, based on daily quote, or when a timer elapses.
Pluses: Scheduling when you want to block Internet access is very simple because the program's interface is user friendly and easy to use. However, the thing I like most about this software is it's ability to block only certain websites or IP addresses.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: iNet Protector is just a tool for disabling Internet access whenever you want.
