 | | Nsauditor Network Security Auditor is a great tool for network administrators that want to keep their network in perfect shape. This software wasn't designed for beginners. At least some basic knowledge about computer networks is required when using this software. The program enables you to audit and monitor network computers for vulnerabilities, system updates that are not installed, open ports, and so on.
Hackers can use various flaws in your operating system to gain access to your computer. Nsaudior detects these flaws, allowing you to patch them before they are exploited. Network auditing is the main feature of this software. However there other features are also available, like the network scanner, web proxy scanner, adware scanner, packet monitor and filter, LM/NTLM spider, and so on.
This program can ping remote computers, do trace-routes, show 'whois' information, and perform 'DNS lookups'. It can also be used for listing the Windows services that are running on a specified remote computer. Another feature that can prove itself useful is the DHCP parameters discovery. You can use this one by entering your network adapter's hardware address (MAC) and viewing the results.
Pluses: The tools section of the program is very well developed. Multiple tools are available, including a traffic emulator, an e-mail validator, a HTTP traffic generator, a finger tool, and others.
Drawbacks / flaws: The user interface needs to be improved a bit. Also, the program stops responding sometimes.
In conclusion: Tons of features make this software a real bargain.
