 | | DeadLine is an advanced mathematics aid program. It can help students and engineers by solving equations, plotting graphs, and performing calculations. Most equations are supported, including algebraic, trigonometric, and exponential equations. This software features quite a useful built-in calculator, which enables you to evaluate expressions and functions.
When you define a new equation, you should open a new project from the "File" menu. The user interface allows you to open multiple projects at the same time, enabling you to work with multiple equations. If you get bored with the default color blue of the interface, you can change it by using the program's "General options" dialog. You can also change the number of visible decimals.
I used the program to derive a simple function and find the local extrema. The program worked flawlessly. The application drew the function's graph and showed me the integral, over the interval specified by me. The integral value was shaded on the function's graph. In the end, I tried to export the graph to a BMP file. I was pleased to see that four formats were available for exporting, including GIF, PNG, TIFF, and of course BMP.
Regardless if you need to solve an equation or verify your results, you can always count on DeadLine's accuracy.
Pluses: I really appreciated the program's "Copy to clipboard" feature. I was able to copy the graph of any function to the Windows clipboard and later paste it into WordPad, Microsoft Word, etc. Another thing that's worth mentioning is the multiple language support.
Drawbacks / flaws: Each project (equation) opens in its own window. This window doesn't support resizing. You can zoom in and out, so this is not such a big drawback.
In conclusion: DeadLine is a very useful math tool. It combines many numerical methods, in order to deliver the right answer. In my opinion, this freeware program is a "must have" for anyone who needs to do mathematical calculations.
