 | | HTML Snapshot ActiveX was designed for capturing and converting html webpages, into images. It uses IE`s functionality to take a screenshot of a web page. It downloads the web page first, and then capture it as image.
The greatest thing about it is that the whole page can be captured without the scroll bars, and that is very useful for web designers, who need to check out how the page layout is displayed in different browsers. This tool also allows you to choose any other resolution, in case you want it to capture only an area of the page.
The things I don't like about this software is the dull interface, and the fact that you have to type in the path for the output image. Otherwise it can be very useful, because it can be integrated into applications written in languages that support ActiveX Component such as Visual C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, C++ Builder, .Net languages, Java, etc.
The output image can be saved as a .jpg, .tiff, .png, .jpeg, .gif or .bmp file. Having support for .tiff format is a good thing, because you can make high quality screenshots.
Pluses: It can be integrated into other applications.
Drawbacks / flaws: It looks boring and I think it's too expensive.
In conclusion: An application which can be useful for web designers.
