| | 'Dator' allows you to organize all kinds of information. It features great text processing capabilities, attachment support, as well as a spell checker. The program uses a special database to store your information. You can use its password protection feature, to secure certain documents that you create within its interface.
Your documents are organized via a tree structure. This tree contains three types of nodes. The "databook" nodes are always the topmost level and then are the folder nodes, which can be created to organize the data nodes. These folder nodes are very similar to the folders on your hard drive. They can contain other folder and data nodes. Finally, the data nodes are the most important part of the tree, because they contain the actual information.
This program is very useful, if you want to organize multiple types of information. Dator supports attaching any type of file to its data nodes. You can also use this application to write formatted text, insert tables, add pictures, or import other RTF (Rich Text Format) files. The documents you create inside this program's user interface can only be added as data nodes to the tree structure.
Pluses: Dator supports scanning documents within its user interface. These documents can be added to the program's database.
