 | | 'Spam Monitor' is a program that can help you get rid of unwanted emails. It filters your incoming emails and stops those considered SPAM.
The program works on two principles. It can filter your emails according to a well-known spam lists or you can manually blacklist email addresses, IP numbers, or countries.
You need to complete two configurations steps, before launching Spam Monitor for the first time. First, you need to configure the SPAM filtering settings, and then you need to configure your email clients (Outlook, Eudora, etc). The program can automatically detect the location where the emails are sorted or you can enter a custom location where the files must be in MIME format.
You can improve SPAM detection by training the program to sort your clean and SPAM emails. You can set the program to check your emails regularly. You can configure connections via POP3, SMTP, and IMAP ports. You can enable logging and you can add custom tags to SPAM emails.
Pluses: An interesting and useful feature was the option to assume that all mail from China, Korea, and Taiwan is SPAM. There is also a downside to this, because you may never receive legitimate emails from these countries.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: A useful program that can save you a lot of trouble, like reading junk emails.
