| | Free Typing Test is a very small application which, as shown in the title, will check your typing skills. Just run the program, hit "Start", type in the text of your choice and, when finished, press "Stop". The program will time your typing session, count the words and display your typing rate (words/minute).
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: Unfortunately, the program doesn't include a dictionary, so you can make as many mistakes as you like; in fact, your can even enter random letters divided by spaces and the program will count them as words, which makes the program pretty much unuseful. And in case you click the link trying to order the "Professional Typing Test", you will be redirected to a Website which will offer you online TV software.
In conclusion: To get an accurate image of your typing skills, first you need to make sure that your typing is flawless and use Free Typing Test to determine your typing speed.
