 | | As the name suggests, 'Burn4Free' is a free CD/DVD burner. It comes with a bunch of features and with a user interface available in more than 33 languages.
Most of its features are listed on its main interface and therefore they are easy to access. The program also provides links for other free software like CD ripper, CD/DVD covers, audio/video conversion, or FLV player. As any CD/DVD burner, besides burning CDs or DVDs it can also burn/save ISO files, erase discs, etc. 'Fly Window' feature is the cherry on the cake for this program. It is a little transparent window which stays on top of the rest of the applications and where you can drag files or folder to be burned. It provides counters to inform you at any time how many files and folders did you dragged in, or how much space is occupied.
While testing the program I've discovered that it works very fast and flawlessly. When you install the program it will install a toolbar for Internet Explorer too but if you don't want that on your browser you can simply uninstall it. If you quick erase the content of a CD/DVD disc the next time you want to burn that disc the program will detect the existence of previous data on the disc. This can be very annoying sometimes but you can't select to not displayed next time.
The user interface is intuitive it needs some adjustments. For example on first use the you might not locate the drive speed selector or the volume name.
Pluses: It works very good and brings interesting features.
Drawbacks / flaws: There are to many adverts featured as buttons on the program window.
In conclusion: It is one of the best free softwares I've seen so far. You might try it and who knows, maybe you'll like it.
