 | | 'GS Typing Tutor' is a program that helps you learn how to type or to improve you typing skills. It offers you a 'Learn to Type' course, a few typing tests and games, reports and logs to learn your development of typing skill and a 'Special Practice' where you can customize a practice by choosing some keys or using your worst keys.
It contains a huge quantity of information and it teaches you even how to sit at your computer, the finger placement, etc. In the 'Typing test' section you'll find some custom articles or jokes and you can practice on typing them to see your true skills. You'll have 5 games where you will practice further your skills. This section is interesting because it makes you focus on your monitor instead of your keyboard and some of these games are very funny.
At the 'Know Improvement' you can see your progress in a report based on the data of the typing test and typing practice. The progress is shown by two curves, the speed curve and the accuracy curve. By clicking the 'History' tab, you can see the details of every exercise of your test and you can print a diploma for your typing test.
The interface is very friendly, when you start the application you'll create a profile which will be used for your diploma.
Pluses: It offers many features and it's very easy to work with it.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: Its very useful if you are a beginner but even a skilled user will find it interesting.
