MagicScore Maestro allows you to simulate an entire orchestra by recording different instruments in MIDI format and translating sound into scores, tablatures, etc. The program features a virtual piano, a virtual guitar fingerboard or fretboard and a descriptive chord builder which can be used to enter notes and to create scores. This is very helpful for people who are not so familiar with the music theory and notations.

You can create tracks using several instruments, add effects, regulate volume and balance for individual tracks or instruments. After creating songs using multiple instruments, you can playback the entire track or only a certain instrument using your MIDI device.

Pluses: The program can translate any track into scores and export scores as graphic files (GIF, JPEG, BMP) as PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) or you can publish your projects on the Web on your personal site or on the 'Magic Score' site. The program features language support for English, Deutsch, French and Russian and an extremely comprehensive 'Help' section which will guide you through any desired task.

Drawbacks / flaws:

In conclusion: An extremely well designed program, with lots of tools and features. It is very easy to use, but it will take a little bit of time before learning how to use it properly. But, don't worry, the help section will guide you through every step of creating tracks and scores.
