| | 'MagicISO' is a CD/DVD burning software. It's intended to help you create, edit, or extract ISO files. The producer claims that it can convert BIN or any other file format created by CD burning software, such as Nero Burning ROM or Easy CD Creator. It supports drag-and-drop for importing files. When you open the program, you might think that you traveled back in time, because its interface looks like Windows 98.
Only a few features that are not the very important are listed in its main window. The program looks like it's intended for CD burning. One of the features listed on its main window is 'Make boot image from floppy disk'. When was the last time you used a floppy disc? If you used a floppy, did you make a boot image? Moreover, almost everybody uses DVDs now, but there is no shortcut for burning DVDs. Creating a boot image is among its features, but on its interface, there is an area inside a thick circle with the 'Non-Bootable' text inside. When I tested the program it worked on CDs, but I was very disappointed when it came to DVDs.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: Very difficult to use and it has an old interface design.
In conclusion: The producer might consider changing the interface of this program with a new one. He could also add more features on its main window. Then, I might change my opinion about this program, but until then I prefer Nero.

| MagicISO-a good image creation software
Rich in features and user friendly interface.
Ability to directly edit files within the image files.
Context menu takes the user to the main application window to create image files which is ok. It would be nice to Lacks ability to be able to create image files from the context menu in windows explorer directly.
Ability to convert between ISO, BIN and Nero image file formats. I could not verify other file formats perhaps because I was using trial version.
Ability to create bootable cd's.
Overall I like this software as it helped me archive a lot of my old files in a compressed image file which would have otherwise taken up a lot of space by themselves.
I know there are some freeware softwares but I did not like them because they have very limited features which dont compare to MagicISO features.

It fair on CD-Burning but Poor on DVD burning. I tested it to try to burn Windows Vista RC1 x64 which by default 3.8GB ISO. There is no other way to download the RC1 for beta testing. It failed, could to burn not burn over 300MB, trial version or not, if you cannot burn over 300MB why should I even remotely consider buying the product. And there is no Native 64-bit version either. Right now I am only buying products that Navtively runs in Windows x64 (AMD64) or Linux x64.
