 | | WinAVI Video Converter is a fast and reliable video file conversion solution. It supports conversions between files as follows: conversion of video files to AVI, RM, WMV and DVD formats.
You can choose the preferred encoding codec, picture size, audio settings for output files. When you are performing a batch file conversion, you can select to merge files into a single output file. When converting to DVD format, you can select video quality, video size, target format, audio bitrate, chapter length. As for video enhancers, you can select to soften the picture, adjust height or make an upside down picture. The output files can be burnt to disc: it supports VCDs, SVCD, DVDs. The interface has a nice design and is very intuitive, providing you with quick access to any setting of the program.
Pluses: I was astonished by the speed and quality of the output files. Batch conversion of files is another plus and video files can be previewed in the inbuilt player. You can select to shut down the computer after the conversion job is done
Drawbacks / flaws: There are some stability issues on Windows Vista.
In conclusion: One of the fastest converters on the market. Easy to use, well designed and highly reliable.
