 | | The soccer (European Football) fans out there now have another game to play. If you like to see whether you are fit to become a soccer manager, you should download and play Super Soccer 2005. The game allows you to select the team you want to manage out of about 400 real soccer teams. Each team has real players, logos, and stadiums.
When you start the game, you can select which language you want to use. Currently the game is available in 15 different languages. Next, you can choose whether you want to start a new game, load a saved one, or edit the soccer teams. In editing mode, you can add new teams or modify the existing ones. When editing a team you have to specify the team's full name, the name of the team's coach, the country where the team is from, the team's colors, and the home stadium's name. You also have to enter a number between 0 and 25, which represents how good each team is. A bigger value means a bigger chance of winning.
Super Soccer allows you to play one of the eight predefined national leagues or a customized league. It also offers the option to play the national cup or the Champion's League. Tons of features are included in the game such as standings, tactics, finances, player transfers, and many more.
It's clear to me that a great deal of work has gone into this software. I was able to find a lot of information about many soccer clubs. It's true that the teams listed in this game are one year old, but this didn't make me enjoy the game play any less.
Pluses: I would say that the biggest plus is the price. It only takes $7 to become a full-blown manager.
Drawbacks / flaws: There is a setup program, which will install this software. However, the only way to uninstall Super Soccer 2005 is to delete it manually.
In conclusion: I recommend this game to anyone who likes soccer (European Football) and has some spare time.
