'Power Video Converter' is a multipurpose video processing tool that allows you to convert, join, and split video files, as well as extract audio or images from video files.

You need to know that the program doesn't come with built-in codecs, so you need to download and install the Windows Media Format and the DivX codecs.

You can convert mpg, mpeg, dat, mov, avi, wmv, asf, and vob video files to mpeg (in DVD, SVCD or VCD formats too), to AVI (including the DivX format and MPEG 4), or to Windows Media Format (ASF). If you want to convert to AVI video, you can choose the file height and width, frame rate, resize it, or choose a video and audio compressor. You can take advantage of the tips and get the job done in no time. A multi-task batch execute function is also included, so that you add several task to a list to be performed with only one click.

Pluses:

Drawbacks / flaws: Video files can't be previewed with its internal viewer, the interface is intuitive, but not skinnable, a wizard is not included. You can't choose custom settings for MP3 output files when extracting audio from video.

In conclusion: Overall, it's a good video conversion application. Not very advanced, but it does the job pretty well.
