The following are some of the many features you will find in Family.

Family is a visually intuitive, attractive, and above-all easy to use family tree application, where family associations are made by a click-and-drag, people are added and rearranged at a whim.

Family was designed from the ground up to be used by people during their day to day lives. Pictures and Stories are easily associated with each person including integration with iPhoto and iSight (or dv cameras). If you are at a family reunion you will easily be able to not only snap a photo with your built in iSight or external camera, but also jot down the information that is most important to you about each person, in a way that is intuitive and easy to use.

With things like Guides, the Grid, and the ability to snap people bubbles to the grid, it's easier than ever to line everything up just right. Plus, starting in 2.3, you can zoom in 120 percent, and exporting your Family project to PDF allows you to keep everything smooth when you ask them to blow the file up 400 percent. You can go even further with zoom, until the pictures get blurry. We here at Saltatory have been able to zoom in on some pictures up to 1000 percent with an exported PDF, and everything was sharp!

Story Telling is something that we here at Saltatory are pretty proud of. Whenever any of us gather with members of our family, there's always a story to tell about each person. Family lets you include each person's story -- or any other information you choose -- with full formatting, links, and images. You can also associate documents, such as scanned birth certificates and speeches, with each person; these will be stored with your Family album file so you don't have to keep track of them yourself.
