 | | RoboShutdown is an easy to use tool for scheduling a task on your computer. Shutting down your computer, powering off your monitor, running an external program, and performing a couple of other tasks are all supported.
The nice thing about this software is the fact that it provides a wizard for helping you define a new task. I noticed that when using the wizard you can't configure a custom time interval. You only have the option of choosing a predefined time value (ex: 10 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes, etc.). However, you shouldn't worry. The application allows you to edit each task after adding it. The editing window, allows you to specify any amount of time.
There are two ways of scheduling a task. You can define a certain time of day or you can set it to start after a period of time. A nice looking clock will be shown on the application's main window.
Pluses: The application can also be configured to display a message or to open a file or a website when a task is triggered.
Drawbacks / flaws: The program is a bit expensive, considering its features. Also, the main window doesn't support resizing, making the clock unuseful in my opinion.
In conclusion: RoboShutdown is small and easy to use, just like it should be. Very nice software. Congratulations to the producer.
