 | | One Click Privacy is an easy to use application designed to help you keep your computer clean and improve its performance.
The program allows you to quickly scan your computer and delete unwanted or redundant files such as: temporary files stored by Windows or by Web browsers, application logs, history and recent files lists.
The user interface has a smooth design, so that the program is very easy to configure and use. Before using the program, you can configure it from the 'Options' button. There are eight sections which may contain junk files: Windows, Internet Browsers, Instant Messengers, MS Office, Multimedia applications, File Sharing applications, Email clients and third-party applications. Al these applications including the operating system may be cleaned out, thus freeing drive space and improving the computer's performance.
Once you have selected which files to wipe out, all you have to do is start scanning and deleting them. One week after re-installing my OS, I found some 9778 junk items. In case you want to definitely erase files, you can use the shredder: your files will be deleted using either of the three data shredding levels: quick, safe (3 overwrite passes) or though (7 overwrite passes). Thus, you files will be deleted beyond recovery.
Pluses: File shredder included.
Drawbacks / flaws: You can only add one file at the time to be shredded. The reports can't be exported.
In conclusion: This is a simple junk file remover, yet powerful enough to clean up your system.
