 | | VaultMate is a personal information manager designed to protect your data using 256 bit AES encryption algorithms. You can use this application to store all sensitive data in a single encrypted file.
The program is very easy to use due to its nicely designed interface and user friendly features. When you start the program, you can create an encrypted file where all your personal information will be stored. You can choose to create an empty file or you can use a template. In case you use a template, on the left hand side of the screen you will see a folder tree containing data categories. You can save data related to websites (user names and passwords), email accounts (email address, user name, password, POP3 server, SMTP server), bank accounts, cell phones (operator, PIN and PUK codes, IMEI), software, personal contacts and so on.
You can use the program to organize your activity by creating notes using a text editor with basic functions. Besides, you can import all the files you wish to keep classified. If you're not content with these security features, there's also a file encryption/decryption option with the possibility of automatically erasing the original file after encryption. If you need a strong password, you can use the password generator to create it. I f you wish to delete files for good, you can use the secure deletion option and the files will be deleted beyond recovery.
Pluses: The data can be exported in HTML format. The program can be installed and run from a USB Flash memory stick. Auto locking function, which is very useful in case you forget it open and leave your desktop unattended. Backup option.
Drawbacks / flaws: You can't automatically complete web logins using the program.
