| | WinPDF is an office tool designed to help you create password protected high-quality PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) files. WinPDF is actually a virtual printer, so it can be used with any application that supports printing: Office suites, image viewers, Web browsers and so on.
You can install it using the downloaded kit and after installation it will appear as a printer. When you want to PDF, you need to select WinPDF as the current printer, in case you have installed another default printer. If you go to 'Start Menu' - 'WinPDF' - 'Preferences', you can select the output location, choose to open the newly created file automatically or send the new PDF via email after saving. If you go to 'Start Menu' - 'WinPDF' - 'Security' , you can add security features to your PDF files such as a password required to open the document and a password required to change permissions and passwords.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: You can't edit of the title, subject, or the author of the PDF. An option for adding watermarks would have been nice.
In conclusion: Although it hasn't got too many customization features, you can use this PDF writer to create secure files.
