| | Wopti Utilities is a system utility suite which holds over a dozen applications you can use for system cleaning, optimization and maintenance. Besides, the system information utility offers complete descriptions of hardware devices and the software installed.
The program's interface has a nice design which makes the program easy to handle. The applications are displayed in a menu located on the left hand side of the program window. The tools are grouped into four categories: 'System Information', 'System Optimization', 'System Cleaning' and 'System Maintenance'.
In the 'System Information' section you can find descriptions for the entire system: CPU and motherboard, video devices, audio devices, memory storage, network and installed software. You can also perform a benchmark test in order to evaluate your computer's performance.
The 'System Optimization' section holds tools designed to help you optimize the disk cache, the Desktop menu, the Network, the boot speed and security. Besides, you can modify right-click menu settings, Desktop settings and more. Services can be started, stopped, enabled or disabled using the 'Service Optimization' tool.
When it comes to cleaning up the system, there are 7 tools you can use, each with its own settings and options. You can clean up your registry, clean redundant files, clean ActiveX controls, clean redundant DLLs and, of course, clean your recently used files. Before cleaning the registry, you can create a backup to restore in case something goes wrong.
As for the system maintenance part, you can scan your disk for errors defragment drives, create driver backups and so on. All operations will be logged. You can set a password for running 'Wopti Utilities'.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: There's no option for cleaning temporary files and cookies from other Web browsers, except Internet Explorer.
In conclusion: This suite of system tools should keep your system running at peak performance. Beginners should have a look at the 'Help' section, as they may run into complex settings.
