Hide Taskbar Plus 4

Hide Taskbar Plus is a small application you can use to hide program windows and icons in the system tray from nosy persons.

Besides hiding running applications from your desktop, you can also use this program to hide single windows, to hide your system tray icons or to mute sound, all at once. Additional options include running the screensaver, turning off monitor and terminating hidden programs. I found this last option very useful because sometimes you need to hide your active windows and you can't bring them back on the desktop to close them.

Using the program is very simple. After installation, you need to configure it before taking advantage of its features. When started, the program will run in the background. It will automatically identify all running programs. The good thing is that you have 10 program groups. You can add as many programs as you wish to a group. Then, you can set a hotkey for hiding them. You can set a different hotkey for each group. The program settings can be password protected so that no one will have access to them.

Pluses: You can protect the hidden programs with a password; this means that, after you've hidden your open programs, you need to enter the password in order to make them visible again.
