| | Disk Doctors Data Sanitizer is a simple, yet very powerful data deletion software designed to help you keep your projects' secrecy even after you've deleted them. I mean, even after you delete data from your hard drive, it won't be gone. The drive space will only be marked as free, but if you use a competitive data recovery software, you will be able to unveil what's been deleted using the common 'Delete' function.
When using this program, you can be certain that your data will be gone for good. Besides deleting the data, this program will make it unavailable for any recovery by use of algorithms as advanced as specified by the Department of Defense (DoD) policy, security requirements, administrative controls, and technical measures to protect classified information processed by DoD computer systems.
The program is very simple to use. You need to select the drive or the partition you want to erase, select your erasing method and start the process. There are three erasing methods: low, medium and standard. You can choose either, but I suggest you select the high level erasing method to get the job done. If you do so, the target data area will be overwritten 38 times. You should know that the process takes quite a while.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: Unfortunately, you can't schedule or automate the data erasing process. There's no way you can choose to erase folders or files separately; you can only erase disks or partitions.
In conclusion: The program performs an excellent job, but there are some missing features.
