| | Apt Video Converter is actually more than just a simple video conversion tool. It can also be used for extracting audio from video or for conversion between audio files. It supports quite an impressive list of files: starting with AVI, MPEG, MOV, MP3, WAV, OGG and ending with RM, FLV and 3GP. The nice thing is the fact that you can use your web cam for creating video files.
The program is very easy to use due to its nicely designed and intuitive user interface. The files you wish to convert can be added to a list in order to be converted. You need to convert each file separately. The file conversion process is very simple. Once you've added your file to the list, you need to choose the output directory (default path is C:\), choose the output format and quality. You can also select custom settings for the output files. Audio and video codecs can be configured in order to get the desired quality of the output files.
Pluses: Files can be preview in the in-built player. You can pause/resume the conversion process. Batch conversion available. Lots of video output formats for portable devices: PSP,iPod, Zune, etc. You can rip audio CDs or DVDs and capture a webcam input.
