| | Network Copy Protection is a data backup and protection utility. It is designed for local backups or remote backups over small networks. You can backup folders, and Outlook Express accounts.
In order to secure your data against damage you need to install the server application on the computer where backups will be stored, while the client application will be installed on all the computers where you have data that needs to be protected. The program uses snapshot technology and compression when creating backups.
Setting up the program is quite easy; however, it is advisable to read the program manual prior to the installation. Backups can be created using the Explorer context menu. The data restoration process, however, appears to be a bit more difficult. You will need to read very carefully the user's manual in order to restore the original data.
Pluses: You can create archived backups for saving drive space. The restoration process can be protected with a password.
Drawbacks / flaws: You can't schedule/automate backups. You need to map a network drive in order to restore backups; this complicates the data restore procedure and requires a lot of user input. Restoration of backups failed a couple of times for no reason.
In conclusion: Although it has some nice features, the program is quite difficult to use without carefully reading the manual.

| Very easy to use as claimed, and has enterprise features but…
I tried this software 1.0.1 from downloads.com and liked it, I don’t know how this vendor can afford to give away some enterprise class features at this price, probably because it is their first release. I requested them for Outlook Express backup and I am surprised it is there now!
Restore works well but GUI can be improved.
