ExpressFolders is a small desktop utility designed to help you quickly access your most used folders. The program will create shortcuts of your frequently used files and will keep a history of the latest accessed folders.
You can also create and manage a list of favorite folders to which you need quick access. Using the program will save you the time lost browsing among a large folder tree. So, this program can be pretty useful, especially when you are dealing with many folders and subfolders.
The interface is nice and makes the program very easy to use. There are three tabs each for latest folders used, frequently used folders and favorites. There's also an option for searching among recently used folders. If you want to open a folder, you only need to click once on its shortcut and it will be opened in Windows Explorer. The list of recently used folders goes back up to 12 weeks maximum.
Pluses: The program can be set to minimize or hide automatically once the mouse cursor leaves it's window.
Drawbacks / flaws: The major drawback is that in case you use a shell other than Explorer (e.g. Total Commander), the program is ineffective.
In conclusion: This is a very good utility as long as Explorer is used as a shell.
