Stopbuddy is a program designed for smokers who wish to quit their habit. Basically, the program is a tracker and timer.

When you first run it, you need to configure it: this means that you need to enter your name, for how long have you been smoking, the number of smoked cigarettes per day and the average cost of the daily consumed tobacco. The program can be set to run in the background and it will display the time passed since you smoked the last cigarette (days, hours, minutes, seconds) and the exact date and time when you actually quit smoking. Besides, you can also see the time you haven't wasted on smoking and the period of time by which you have extended your life.

There is also a kind of meter which shows your body functions compared to a non-smoker from a medical point of view. You may find out some worrying facts. Next, there's a section where you can find out interesting and useful information about the effects of smoking as well as quitting tips. There's also a coach included in order to try and make your ordeal easier in terms of mental and emotional problems.

Pluses: When restarting the program, it will ask whether you smoked. You can only click 'No'. This means that if you smoked, the timer is useless and you need to reinstall the program.

Drawbacks / flaws:

In conclusion: Besides being useful, the program has also a funny manner of assisting you to quit smoking. However, the most important thing is will power, in this particular case.
