 | | IPNetMonitorX is a complex network and Internet utility.
The interface of the application looks like a toolbar which incorporates small network utilities. Basically, some of these utilities are available via the shell, but IPNetMonitorX provides a usable interface for these applications.
Each of these supported network utilities can run in multiple instances. The application doesn't limit your options in any kind of way. It provides you the possibility to open as many windows as you want as long as they fit on to your desktop.
The list of the supported utilities is: Address Scan, AirPort Signal, DHCP Lease, DHCP Test, DNS RBL (Realtime Blackhole List), Finger, Interface Info, Link Rate, Lookup, Monitor, NS (Name Server) Query, Ping, Port Scan, Server Scan, Subnet Calc, TCP Dump, TCP Info, Trace Route, Who is. Each of these tools provide their specific functionality and the networking skills are a requirement in order to properly use them and interpret the output.
Pluses: pretty usable interface for various network tools, great number of supported applications, modular design, unlimited instances of each of the supported tools.
Drawbacks / flaws:
