 | | You can use 'Flash EXE Builder' to convert Flash animations to executable files. Actually, you can only convert Shockwave Flash Objects (SWF) files to executables, since the support for FLV files is missing. Other than that, you can also convert BMP, JPG, JIF, JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIF and TIFF files.
The program is quite easy to use, due to its tabbed interface. Each tab represents a step in the conversion process. In order to get a new executable file, you need to select the desired files and add them to the list. Next, you can customize the output file by choosing window style and size, playback options, interactivity, watermark, background music (mp3, wav, wma) and so on. You can also edit the context menu and the about box of the future file.
During the third step, you can add files that will be extracted into a workspace folder at the application startup. These files can be open/run using an FSCommand script. In order to do this, it's advisable to read the dedicated 'Help' section.
When it comes to publishing files, you can choose between publishing as a screen saver, as a projector (EXE standalone), or as an autorun CD/DVD. There is also the option of uploading the output files directly to a FTP account.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: No support for FLV files.
In conclusion: The producers should have named this product 'SWF EXE builder', since it can be used only for converting Shockwave Flash Objects.
