HiddenFiles is a simple utility which can display the hidden files in Finder.
The interface is very simple. Basically, it has just a few buttons. You can either display the hidden files, mask the hidden files, or you can click the dedicated 'Quit' button.
It is recommended to use the 'Quit' button if you would like to close the application. The 'Close' button simply closes the window, but it can be opened again even if you click the icon from the Dock Menu.
The ''Display hidden files" and the "Mask hidden files" buttons work very well. They do exactly as they say. Clicking either of these buttons has the result a Finder restart. Depending on your choice, after the restart, the Finder is going to either show you the hidden items, or not.
Pluses: easy to use; well designed interface; flawless functionality.
Drawbacks / flaws: it has a small interface issue. If you close the main window by using the 'Close' button, you have to restart the application in order to be able to use its window again. Use the dedicated 'Quit' button instead.
In conclusion: a nice application which does its job very well.
