 | | File Splitter is a tool that can split large files into smaller pieces of any selected size. Of course, afterwards, it can join the pieces in order to re-create the original file. This operation is very useful when you work with small sized media, like CDs or floppy disks for example.
The program also supports joining any kind of files. There are special sections in the user interface for joining binary and text files. When splitting text files you can manually set split points wherever you want the file to be cut.
WonderWebWare File Splitter has a tabbed user interface. Each operation that can be performed by this software is displayed as a separate tab. This improves the accessibility, and is, in my opinion, the best way to organize items (buttons, edit-boxes, etc.).
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: The program is very unstable. Each time I start a joining or splitting operation, the program stops responding. It only recovers when the job is done. There's no progress bar, so you never know whether the program is doing its job or not.
In conclusion: This application definitely needs improvement. You have to be very patient when working with this program, because there's no way of knowing whether it's working or if it stopped.
