 | | LazyLoad allows you to delay the loading of other programs upon Windows startup. This application modifies your startup entries, adding them to its own startup manager. LazyLoad starts along with the operating system, and then starts any application you choose whenever you want.
A quite interesting graph is shown on the main user interface. This graph contains data about your computer's CPU and disk usage. A timeline is also displayed, allowing you to drag each program left or right. Dragging a program left means that it starts sooner, while dragging it to the right increases its delay.
The program monitors your computer for a specified period of time after startup. This period is 60 minutes by default, but you can configure it through the settings dialog. Because of this, the program can analyze your current performance, delaying the startup of the applications. You can configure it, for example, not to start an application unless CPU usage is below 50%.
Pluses: Just like configuring an application to delay its start, you can configure delayed events. You can set the program to open a web page, to lock the workstation, to shutdown the computer, and so on. These features are called "lazy utilities" and they can be added by using the program's main toolbar.
Drawbacks / flaws:
In conclusion: LazyLoad offers a great way of configuring and managing your startup programs. It goes a step further than other applications which only allow you to add, remove, or edit startup entries.
version reviewed: 1.1.0.12 LazyLoad Publisher's Description LazyLoad allows you to schedule when applications are launched after the start of your computer, this allows your PC to be up and usable faster whilst still loading your applications in the background ready for you to use. When Windows(r) starts it tries to load all the programs in your startup folder at once, this places a big strain on the processor and your hard drive (c drive), by LazyLoading your apps this strain is reduced.
