 | | FlexSize Express is a tiny disk occupancy analysis utility. This program can be used to scan your hard drives in order to find out the size of your folders and subfolders and the number of files in each folder.
I found the program very useful when my disks got full and I wanted to delete some data, in order to free some space on the disk. Since I have a folder tree that contains hundreds of folders and thousands of files, I had to try and find an easy way to decide what to erase. Instead of exhaustively opening folder by folder in order to identify its content, I used 'FlexSize Express'.
Using the program is very simple. The program is actually a list of directories. You need to add folders to be scanned. These folders will be added to the list, so that you can have a clear image of what's stored on your computer.
Pluses: After the indexing process is complete, you can generate accurate and complete report regarding your folders' size in HTML, CSV or ASCII format.
Drawbacks / flaws: When you are trying to add files, the program will always start browsing the installation directory.
In conclusion: This program is a handy tool when you need to know the exact size of many files and folder at once.
