| | Affiliate FTP is a fully-featured FTP client. It allows you to connect to multiple servers at the same time through an easy to use interface. The GUI supports themes and multiple languages. I mostly appreciate the buttons on the toolbar, which look very nice, even though they are big.
The first thing I did was to connect to a FTP server. 'Affiliate FTP' worked great until I tried to download a file. Even though the downloaded file was an archive, it was saved as a text file and automatically opened with Windows Notepad. The percentage which shows how much was downloaded didn't work properly as well.
It's possible to rebrand 'Affiliate FTP'. You can also use this program to advertise your website, your services, and so on. The bottom part of the main window always displays banners.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: The program is very unstable. Every time I tried to abort a download or upload, the program crashed. Besides that, I don't trust this software. I was never asked whether I want the program to save my passwords. Each time I restarted it, all my connections were automatically restored. This is impossible unless the program saves the passwords somewhere without the user's knowledge.
In conclusion: I wouldn't use this program to connect to FTP servers that contain important data. Affiliate FTP comes with no guarantee.
