Batch It! 4.90

As the title suggests, 'Batch It!' is an image batch converter software. It features a large number of options to set for your pictures prior to the batch conversion. You can set image properties, image effects, text caption properties, watermark properties, filename changer properties,or file properties. Another feature available for each picture is the orientation. It features filtering function commonly to database grids. Categories in the Settings can be closed up if you do not need them. Unlike other batch processing software, this does support drag and drop when you want to import pictures.

When it comes to resizing pictures you can chose among four ways to do that. The first one is 'Resizing by Pixels'. This option features another four settings like 'Width', 'Height', 'Keep Dimensions Ratio Aspect', and 'Swap Dimension if Portrait Image'. 'Resizing by Percentage' is the second way. Here, the most important setting is the 'Percentage' because it will determine the percentage scale of the processed image to the original file dimension. This option will handle the 'Dimension Ratio Aspects' automatically.

The third way of resizing is 'Resizing by Ratio'. This allows you to use ratios like 1/4x to 3/4x in order to resize your photos. The last but not the least important is the 'Resizing in Frame' way. The pictures will be resized to fit the set width and height but they will retain their aspect ratio within the frame. If the actual height or width in smaller than the frame's the remaining spaces will be filled with the selected background color. If you use the Drop Shadow option, it will take the color of the frame as its background so as to blend it seamlessly.

The user interface is clean and easy to understand.

In conclusion: I'm glad to see that still exist producers which treat things seriously and develop complex software.
