'Easy ScreenShot', as the name suggests, is a software meant to help you take screen shots of your desktop, program windows, or parts of the screen.
Nothing special so far, because even Windows Paint can do that, if you study its features a little. While testing the program I've discovered an interesting feature. You can create slide shows of your photos. In order to create a slide show, the program offers a wizard to guide you trough the process. While testing this feature, after configuring all the settings, I've arrived at step four where I've found a 'write' button. My first impression was that this feature will burn a disc with my slide show but that was incorrect because it actually created the output file.
The program didn't impress me at all. You have to carefully read the 'Help' file in order to learn how to use a program and you have to pay attention to the shortcut keys or to other similar products installed on your computer. It is indeed cheaper than other softwares alike but the features are up to its price. For example I wasn't able to find a setting to allow me to see the mouse pointer in my screen shots.
Pluses: Drawbacks / flaws: Too few features.
In conclusion: I look forward for the next release but until then I'll keep using
SnagIt.
