| | Smart Chart Designer is a software designed to help you create customizable charts you can use in reports, presentations and so on.
You can choose to create a new chart from and existing XML or Access database. Of course, you can also manually create charts by entering the data yourself into a new sheet. In order to create a chart you can choose from dozen of 2D and 3d chart types, you can customize the plot area, the layout, the scale, the grid and so on.
You can customize the layout by adding pictures, you can also place the legend wherever you want to. The charts can be saved as graphic files in BMP, PNG, JPEG, TIFF, WMF and GIF file format. Using the program is simple due to it's user friendly interface and nice design.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: You can't create charts using MS Excel files. Not very stable. The program crashed a couple of time when creating a new project.
In conclusion: A simple, yet well object oriented program. However, I feel like it would be nice to see some more options such as some editing tools (insert text, highlighting, etc.).
