 | | Advanced Privacy Supervisor is a system utility designed to keep your system running at optimal performance and to protect your privacy.
The program is nicely designed and easy to use. Its features are divided into three main sections: Startup, Registry and History. As you may suspect, the Startup section deals with the management of startup items. You can add, delete or turn on/off startup executables. You can also edit startup files such as: 'system.ini' or 'config.nt'.
The Registry section allows you to search for Windows registry faults and fix them. After scanning the registry you can choose to fix items of choice or all the errors. A backup and restore option is available, in case you've done something wrong.
The History section deals with temporary files, stored by Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Windows, MS Office, and other installed applications. These files can be deleted in order to maintain your privacy and, of course, free some space on your drive. You can also use the program for deleting Internet Explorer extensions.
Pluses:
Drawbacks / flaws: If the list of temporary files in Internet Explorer is too long, the program may stop responding. You need to delete manually each section from the history items. you can't add custom items for deletion, such as temporary Opera or other browser's files. The program has no option for memory optimization. The backup operations for Startup items failed.
In conclusion: An average system utility, not very elaborate, with some room for improvement.
