 | | Blue Internet Monitor is a small application designed to keep you up-to-date with all the details regarding your Internet connection. You should be aware that the program has been created to monitor dial-up or TAPI (Telephony Application Programming Interface) connections only.
Once started, the program can auto-detect your Internet connection and you can start monitoring your traffic. You can set sounds for establishing or terminating a connection, you can set tariffs in order to have an accurate image of your expenses and you can also create a list of applications to be executed after connecting to the Internet.
The program will log all the information related to your traffic creating detailed reports containing: the date, start and end time, cost, connection type, IP number, average transfer, total transfer (upload/download), etc. The statistics can be displayed as bar or pie charts available even in 3D. You can copy the data or chart BMP (graphic file) into the clipboard.
Pluses: It provides accurate details regarding connections and Internet traffic.
Drawbacks / flaws: You can't export the data in a specific file format. It doesn't work with permanent Internet connections.
In conclusion: A program with a limited usability. I look forward to a version which will allow you the monitoring all kinds of Internet connections.
